Course Content

The L-band C700 and FB250 Installation and Operation training is a one day introductory course. The course provides the student with the basic skills necessary to assemble, configure, operate, maintain and perform basic on-site and remote-site troubleshooting of an Intellian L-band C700 and FB250 system. Student will understand and become familiar with all the components, functionalities and fundamental system features.

This training course is oriented towards professional technical field engineers working at the equipment installation site or remote vessel sites. Also intended for individuals just entering this career field or working for the first time with Intellian hardware and software, who are now responsible for the basic assembly, configuration, operation, and maintenance of Intellian satellite communications products.

This course is a blended format of classroom lectures, demonstrations and practical exercises that are presented in a comprehensive and technical format, providing each student with a complete overview of operations from the Intellian perspective. In addition to the course material, the student will have access to the Intellian Online Training Portal and access Intellian software to become familiar with Intellian products and features. 

After completing all associated materials, classroom lectures and practical exercises, a final assessment will be administered at the end of the one-day training session.

Each student attending the Intellian L-band C700 and FB250 - Installation and operation course should have a basic understanding of RF and satellite communications, and some familiarity with IP Networks, WIFI, and IP addressing with experience in installing VSAT/TVRO systems in the field. A fundamental understanding of cable termination and hand-eye coordination for basic parts assembly is also suggested.

The student must be comfortable with a Windows operating system and have necessary software installation skills since the Intellian suite of applications (SSH, Chrome, and terminal software) will be deployed on the laptops.

It is required before attending the course, the completion and passing of the assessments for the Intellian Online Training course. These online courses will be provided after registering for this class.

Each registered student must bring a laptop running Windows 10, have administrative privileges with the firewall temporarily disabled to allow the install of the following software during the week: Aptus PC, Utility Solution Software, SSH, Chrome, and terminal software will be deployed on the laptops.
