Prime Purpose

As a Senior System Integration Test Engineer - Antenna User Terminals you will be involved in designing test plans and executing tests for innovative RF/microwave and antenna module development for SatCom user terminals. A strong knowledge of RF/microwave technologies, along with a basic understanding of antenna engineering and waveforms, is required. Key responsibilities include creating test plans, setting up lab tests, supporting system integration and product validation, compiling test reports, assisting with field testing, and troubleshooting throughout various testing stages.

Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and conducting hands-on testing of antenna subsystem with SatCom user terminals. Key tasks include:

  • Translating product requirements and key features into test plans and detailed test steps.
  • Setting up test equipment in the lab and executing test cases across different phases, such as early system integration, OTA user terminal validation, and engineering field testing.
  • Integrating and testing the complete satellite user terminal, including the active phased array antenna.
  • Interfacing with customers during the Engineering Field Testing (EFT) phase, which involves developing the EFT test plan, running test cases, preparing reports, and coordinating with customers.
  • Supporting Limited Availability (LA) and General Availability (GA) product phases by reproducing customer issues, verifying new builds, and collaborating with partners or customers as needed.
  • Writing automated scripts for system and component testing.
  • Managing test case tracking against requirements for assigned test plans.
  • Coordinating with internal engineering teams and external development partners for cross-functional collaboration and integration.
  • Assisting with product deployment.
  • Supporting the Product Certification team as necessary.
  • Traveling to EFT and customer sites, as required (up to 15% travel depending on project phases).

 

Qualifications

Required Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree and ten (10+) years of experience, or Master’s Degree and seven (7+) years of experience
  • Must have a proven track record of SatCom test experience
  • Must have a proven track record of Antenna User Terminals experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and triaging skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with others to resolve complex problems, work with cross-functional teams, resolve conflicts and move projects forward
  • Strong experience of using RF test equipment, including signal generator, spectral analyzer, vector network analyzer, etc.
  • IT Network troubleshooting skills; DHCP, TCP/IPv4 & v6, Sub-netting, routing, VLANS, etc.
  • Experience with test management tools and Microsoft Office
  • Travel up to 15% domestic or overseas (as needed)

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience with Linux platforms
  • 3+ years of scripting or programming experience (Python, Shell)
  • Experience with SharePoint, Confluence and Jira

Pay Transparency

The estimated salary range for this role is $125,000 - $145,000. Actual pay will vary based on varying factors, including but not limited to relevant experience.
